Hat Making Station

The Adur Woodcraft Folk will be holding a hat making station for all ages at the Shoreham Summer Festival. You will find them in front of the memorial next to the Ropetackle Arts Center Stage. So come along and make your hat ready for the Best Hat of the Day Competition at 3pm with great prizes for children and adults – we have all the materials, you just need to get involved!

Adur Woodcraft Folk

Part of a national organisation that develops children’s self-confidence and awareness of the world, encouraging equality, friendship and co-operation.  Weekly groups, weekend trips and summer camps aim to be affordable and open to all. Outdoor activities, crafts, songs and games promote big ideas like sustainability and democracy.  We currently run groups for 0 to 3 years, 3 to 5 years and 6 to 10 years, and hope to start groups for older children and young people soon.

We meet at the Co-op Community Space in Ham Road, Shoreham and all leaders are volunteers. As well as the groups we have run several projects over the last few years for our local community, including making over 1000 Activity and craft packs for children in low-income families, Coats For Kids each winter, holiday lunches and activity, craft and play sessions during school holidays.  We like to join in with community events, like Pride, the Donkey Derby and local fetes, and taking part in this festival allows us to make new friends and have fun!
